Danh từ là từ loại quan trọng trong Tiếng Anh. Và đặc biệt nếu bạn dùng danh từ đúng cách thì câu văn của bạn sẽ có sức biểu cảm tốt hơn rất nhiều.

Hôm nay chúng ta cùng nghiên cứu một số Danh từ (Nouns) và cụm những từ hay đi kèm thường xuyên xuất hiện trong bài thi IELTS nhé!


1. Adj + Noun (Tính từ+Danh từ)

Nouns Adjectives that often combine with it Example
Contact Useful, valuable, personal, constant, close, frequent I made some useful contacts at the conference
Debate Considerable, heated, intense , public After the lecture there was a heated debate
Element =factor Crucial, decisive, fundamental Timing is a crucial element of the experiment

Phenomenon  Common, isolated, natural, recent, uninversal Such anti-social behavior is a recent phenomenon

Role Decisive, challenging, conflicting, influential, key Student activists played a decisive role in the riot
Sample Random, representative A representative sample of the population was surveyed

2. Noun + Verb

You can come into contact with someone or something or you can establish, maintain, break off or lose contact.

Academics may engage in debate or contribute to a debate. You talk about the debate surrounding an issue.

You can combine, differentiate or discern (recognize) the elements or a chemical compound.

You consume, conserve, generate, save or waste energy.

Phenomena emerge or occur and students will try to observe, investigate and then explain those phenomena.

Academics collect, collate (organize) and publish their results. Sometimes results are questioned orinvalidated (shown to be wrong). Occasionally, they are even falsified.

Roles may be defined or strengthened. People or factors can play a role or take a role. You can take orprovide or analyze a sample.

You can discover, devise (think up), work out or develop a way to do something.
